Hi, did you set the rights in the #_GROUP_DIMENSION_DATA_<Dimension> ? Best regards.

  • User Avatar

Hi, I would set this up in an ETL Project e.g. Transfer. There you can extract all your dimensions without losing information and than do a cube extract which suppression on the data values. If you set up a variable to your database name, you can easily create an excat copy of the database with one click. Best regards.

Quote from MatzeR: “there doesn't open any dialog for PALO paste view” Hello MatzeR, do you use sometimes a second monitor? It is also possilbe that the dialog for Paste View is on the other screen. You can reset the positon of the dialog in the registry, under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Jedox\Palo\XlAddin\Forms\PasteView Set height, left, top and width to zero and restart your excel. Hope this can help you. Regards.

Quote from MatzeR: “Thank your Djordja, we finaly found the palo.ini, within the port 7921. Using this, it is no problem to create the connection. Should we leave it on this number or rather change to 7777?” My pleasure. Like noelgaur said, you can configure the port like you want, but you have to take care of that the port is available and your that your firewall isn´t blocking this port. The other thing is, that you had to remember your new port Regards.

Hello, witch Palo verion did you use, community edition 3.2? At witch point of use is your palo slow, creating dimensions, loading data in cube or usinig rules? If you use CE 3.2, it is limited to one core and a ram limitation of 32 bit, so something near to 4 GB. You can setup a greater bluk size. Standard is it 10.000, you can size it for example to 100.000. Hope this help you a little bit. Regards.
