    • PALO DrillThrough Question

      Hello,

I'm new to PALO and its ETL-Server. I am thinking of doing the following for my reports:

There would be a consolidated Elements with dynamic sub-elements in the lowest level (3rd level), meaning this would change from time-to-time, like:

      Sales (first level)
Sales according to Store-branches (2nd level)
      Product Sale (3rd level)
      * Item Type 1 (Date ; Customer #; total amount)
      * Item Type 2 (Date ; Customer #; total amount)
      * Item Type 1 (Date ; Customer #; total amount)
      * Item Type 2 (Date ; Customer #; total amount)
      * Item Type 3 (Date ; Customer #; total amount)
      * ......

      Questions:

      1) How can I define this in PALO Modeller?
      2) All my data are stored in MS-SQL 2005 Server, can I extract this data and stored in PALO-Server using the current ETL-Server?
      3) Is PALO-ETCL Server support MS-SQL 2005?

      Any help is highly appreciated.

      Thanks
      tarsier
    • Hello,

      1. Concerning Palo Modeller please post to the Modeller group.

      2. Yes, but currently you have to register the JDBC driver for MS SQL Server manually in Palo ETL Server. The JDBC driver is available for free for SQL Server customers: msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/data/aa937724.aspx
Please see chapter 6.1. for the integration in Palo ETL Server.

      3. Well, we've already tested the connection to MS SQL Server. An upcoming release of Palo ETL Server will omit the manual integration step.

      Kind regards, Andreas
