  • Select element from a subset (excel-formula, vba-formula)

    Hi there

    is there a excel-formula simular to 'palo.ename', where i can per doubleclick select one element from a subset of a dimension ?

    the same problem i have in vba. is there a vba-function to chose one element of a subset (instead of chose an element of a hole dimension with

    Dim returnvalue As Variant
    Dim obj As Jedox_Palo_XlAddin.IPaloEngineCom
    Set obj = New Jedox_Palo_XlAddin.ComInterface
    returnvalue = obj.ChooseElements("localhost/Demo", "Products")
    )

    thanks for a tip

    You mean like TM1's =submname() ?

    No - Not according to the V2.5 manual there isn't.

    I'd assume the same is therefore treu of VBA but someone may be along shortly to prove me wrong :D

  • tip / wish to the developpers

    enlarged function for
    excel-formula .. =palo.ename(server, dimension,element, optional: subsetname)

    vba:
    returnvalue = obj.ChooseElements("localhost/Demo", "Products",optional: subsetname)

    i'm probably not the onlyone with such needs.
