  • How to store/retrieve a measure value by API?

    Dear all,

I am using Palo and I'm very happy with the performance and documentation.
However, I'm having quite a problem with the API with a simple thing: I cannot find out how to store a measure's value.

I have noticed that in a database, Measures is actually a dimension. With the HTTP request API, I can painlessly create a database, dimensions, and a cube. A simple example:

    TIME
    YEAR
    Element: 2010

    GEOGRAPHY
    COUNTRY
    Element: Switzerland

    Measures
    TONS-OF-CHEESE-PRODUCED
    Element: unit-x

So, I would love to express by "coordinates" or "path" that the cube should store the value X for [2010, Switzerland, unit-x]. How can I do that?

    Thanks in advance,
    M.

Have a look at documentation for API method:

    /cell/replace

Is there any particular reason why you are not using one of our client libraries(might be easier, i.e. less low level)?
