  • Palo 1.5 doesn´t work

    Hi,

after uninstalling Palo 1.0 I installed Palo 1.5 without errors. But now Palo doesn´t work.
The PaloManager (german version) says "PALOServerService wird angehalten". If I try to start the Palo-server it starts for a second and stops at this moment.

Palo 1.5 (server and client on the same machine)
    Win XP Pro SP2

    Any idea? Thanks!

  • Oh, something happens.

    I started palo.exe. Right?
The output is "INFO chdir into './Data'

Now my PHP-App loads and loads and... (seems, it gets no connection, but there´s no connect-error)
My Firewall shows palo listening on port 7777.
    The Excel-Addin doesn´t work.

  • Demo removed. But there´s already the same problem. The ServerManager starts and stops Palo in a second (the green triangle in the taskbar-icon flashes up shortly).

  • The icon in the taskbar is there. But I´m not able to start Palo that way.

The service quits with the following error (german again):

Der Dienst "PALO Server Service" auf "Lokaler Computer" konnte nicht gestartet werden. Fehler 1053: Der Dienst antwortete nicht rechtzeitig auf die Start- oder Steuerungsanforderung.
  • Hello digganet,

Did you delete something before I ask you to in this folder? Could you
backup your databases and remove them completely from your folder
except the system database and restart.

If this all doesn't help, please post this again to our bug tracking system!

    Regards,
    Stephanie
  • Unbelievable. Now it works. I uninstalled Palo and renamed the old Palo-dir. After installing I just copied my databases to the new data-dir.

The setup returned an error, that libpalo_ng.dll at windir/sys32 was in use and could not be replaced, but now it seems, that that is not annoying.
