    • Imp-Palo error Message: insufficient access rights for dimension element

      Hi,
who can help me bei this error message.

PALO Error: not authorized for operation: insufficient access rights for dimension element (Error
      (palo_eadd_or_update_a failed.)

This error ist generated by IMP-Palo.

as you see in the script report bellow: the connect ist okay. just the last step does not work.
I work with palo 1.5 (the new version) in a localhost and there is no restriction.

      what ist to do?

      hier my script report:

meanwhile i found the main error in

      C:\Programme\Jedox\Palo\data\palo.ini.

i commented out or delete the first line

      user-login

after this correction i see just one problem. i have to give ressources free.
      but how?

ist there anybody who knows the answer?

      Hi stephanie,
first of all sorry for the late replay. i was sick.

Meanwhile i solved the Palo erro: i had just to delete the String "user-login"
      from my palo.ini.

but i have still one problem.

      if run my import job,
imp:palo connected the both of database and seems to be waiting.
i have no chance to control imp:palo.
after i disconnected palo via server manager i can work again .

these procedure i have to repeat after each importing. how can i avoid the disconnect?
by the way, each import was successful.

      maybe you have an idea.

anyway thanks a lot for you last replay.

      best regards,
      Ebrahim

      Hi Ebrahim,

      I can't read German.
I encountered the problem with access rights.

Here is what I found out:
There are 2 users predefined in PALO...
      id:user password:pass - normal user rights
      id:admin password:admin - admin rights

The demo for IMP:PALO left out the small detail that you need admin rights to create dimensions.
So, when connecting to Palo cube, set userid as admin and password as admin.

After that mine worked with no problems.

I don't understand your other problem.
