  • PALO.ENAME - no double-click

    Hello,
I'm using the PALO.ENAME function with Position=1 for the double-click-functionallity. After the first log-in (Palo-User-Management) I get a empty window (no elements). After some trails Excel is crashing.

But when I'm using the Paste View in another context I have to log-in again. After the second log-in the double-click in the workbook with the PALO.ENAME-function is working.

Is there any idea how to use the double-click-function with only one log-in ?

    Thanks in advance,

    Reinhard

    Hello Stephanie,
I'm using a Client-Client connection in a network from one station and the server. The ENAME-function:

    Source Code

    1. PALO.ENAME($G$1;"Thema";"Betriebsergebnis";1;"")

For the problem it doesn't matter wich usergroup is logged in (admin or e. g. poweruser).

    Regards

    Reinhard

    Hello Reinhard,

If you use the "double-click-functionality" you have to login with the
adequate rights otherwise you receive an error. For example in the
demo database you have two users (user & admin), please use the
Palo Wizard and enter two entries for each user and store the login
data to make sure you don't mix the users. Every time you connect
to Palo make sure, the other connection is disabled. Try your ename
    function again.

    Does that help?

    Regards,
    Stephanie

    Hello Stephanie,

do you mean with "... enter two entries for each user and store the login
data ..." to create two different server entries (each for one user) or four entries (two for one user) ? Is it true, that the entries have to have different names each ?

    Regards

    Reinhard

    Hello Reinhard,

I meant two server entries. One for the admin, and one for the normal
user. The names have to be different, - otherwise you wouldn't be able
    to recognize it.

Fill in for example for admin:

    Connection name: adminlogin
    Server: localhost
    Port: 7777
    Username: admin
    Password: adminpassword

Fill in for example for user:

    Connection name: userlogin
    Server: localhost
    Port: 7777
    Username: user
    Password: userpassword

    Regards,
    Stephanie

    Hello Stephanie,
the proceeding you suggest is working. Thanks for your reply.

But for one of the next PALO-versions, it would be nice to have more then one user per server-connection (so that a user can login without relation to the windows-user).

    Regards Reinhard
