  • TIPP: Palo server on Linux Servers

my testes Linux: SuSE Linux 10.0

    Out of Readme.Server:

    - libexpat.so.1 must be installed (preferable in /usr/lib).
    'find / -name libexpat.so.1 2>/dev/null' should give a result.

    On SuSE Linux 10.0 exists libexpat.so.0 in /usr/lib. Because I didn't found libexpat.so.1 I googled and found a hint:

    Use the following command:

    ln -s /usr/lib/libexpat.so.0 /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1

I don't know if palo would work without to link libexpat.so.0 to libexpat.so.1 ... but my server is running.

Maybe this could help on other linux distributions as well ;)

... to whom it may concern ...
I run in a similar issue with my fresh linux server, no way to set the locale accordingly to the Readme, but the newsgroups and some other folks helped me to figure out:

    sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

I installed the additional codepages/files and from there it worked flawlessly.
